The last thing he saw.
That eye-her eye, lingering in his final thoughts.
Time and time again
His advisors told him
That those little people he ruled over…
Their admiration
Had turned to acrimony
When they picked him
To rule the one world, the new world order,
He made promises
That he knew
He would not keep
But the people were dumber
Than they had ever been
They were lost,
Faint of heart.
Lost in mental silence,
They demanded a king
And received a dictator
Perhaps the leader
They ultimately deserved.
At any rate
There was a still a pearl
To be found
In the mouth
Of this rotting oyster world
The greatest hope for this lost society
They named her Pearl
For that reason
The Old Prophetess, who’s very existence
Was banned
Told the brave few
Who resisted the system
That one like Pearl
Would come
And save the world
From itself
For better
Or
For worse.
But the suffering.
It would end.
The child was born
With only the moonlight
Illuminating her face
A chill went up the spine
Of the doula
For the child was silent
And staring into her very soul.
The mother gave her to the Old Prophetess
For the child unnerved them all
Thus pearl began her path her learning
As soon as she was weaned
Sixteen years later
As the Old Prophetess took her last breath
She told her precious Pearl
that it was time
Flash forward
Four years
Pearl has made it,
To the compound
Of their “king”
As he had
Proclaimed himself
Soon after
The fools gave him all
Pearl sacrificed much
Her allies were all dead, save two
And they were in different corners of the room
With little time left
Pearl
Was missing her
Right arm
Left eye
And Glock
But the “king”
Was missing his guards
For somehow
These vagabonds
Made it this far
And so he thought
Surely he
Could handle this malnourished child
The audacity of her
To believe she had any power
Let alone
Power over
Him
And yet
Haha.
Pearl had faced many adversaries
Who fought for this man
As he left their families destitute
And shipped them home
In sacks
And so
Pearl decided
That it was better for them to all be free
Instead of alive
She waited
For her friends to expire
And smiled at this ‘“king”.
He came toward her but stopped,
When the right eye began to glow
And he realized
He could not move
The eye got brighter
The room became hotter
And he could feel
His flesh
Melt away
The walls ignited
The paintings were melting
Metal dripped just
Like wax
Right before
The supernova
Sacrifice,
Pearl informed him
That if the people—!
Could not rule their world,
Then no one would.
The End.
Damn you ATE THIS UPPPPPP! Great job 👏🏽
